Back in October I did some promotional work for Stutz Apple Cider. One of the images landed on the cover of Faces Magazine, a local entertainment magazine here in Halifax. The shot below is the original. There a few more shots that landed inside as well. It's nice to see the mud fight get some love.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I’m a freelance photographer living in Nova Scotia, Canada. My love for photography developed naturally from my appreciation of nature. I love living here and being able to make a living at photography is such a blessing. Send me a message any time to let me know what you think! Cheers, Perry

Evening Photo
Tonight I went for a stroll to take in the beautiful weather here in Dartmouth. Thought I would share this photo. I held the leaf up to the sun to get the burst of light.

Old Friends, New Photos
After days of rain, I finally met up with the MacGillivray family for photos. Charlene and I were classmates in Newfoundland back in the third grade. I never in a million years thought we would meet up again to do photos! I also can't believe we knew each other when we were the same age as her children! I had a great time following them around Shubie and learning where the Smurfs live!

Westfalias, Trains, and Vespas
Yesterday was so much fun! We had the honor of photographing Korry and Barretts wedding at the Westin Nova Scotian. I'm sure the wedding party felt like they were all over Halifax so I have to give them props for being great sports. We took photos on anything that moved and my heart almost stopped when the train conductor started the train and a big billow of smoke nearly covered the wedding party! Eeek. Trains.....Yeah!

Corinne and Kyle
This weekend my wife and I headed to PEI to shoot Corinne and Kyle's wedding reception. We had no idea just how much fun we would have. They were such a nice couple and looked amazing! These are some of my favorite photos from the day. I have to admit they were super easy to work with and put up with me constantly asking for "just one more" photo.

Exploring Nova Scotia's Bay of Fundy
Last weekend was amazing! My wife and I went camping at Five Islands Provincial Park and in Advocate Harbour, which is located in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. We went kayaking with Nova Shores Adventures. Our guides Neridah and Sean were amazing. I highly recommend visiting Advocate if you're looking for a great getaway spot. There's a lot hiking in the area including visiting Cape d'or and Cape Chignecto. Also, eat at the Wild Caraway, you won't regret it!
This last photo is a photo of me taken by Lindsay. Thanks Linds!

Glorious Shoes!
A few weeks ago my wife and I did a shoot with our good friend Carolyn. This shoot was so much fun. Carolyn is an esthetician and these images suit her personality perfectly! These are only a few from that day but we have more "shoe shots" planned in the future. I can't wait. I think we're on to something...

World Wide Photo Walk
Yesterday was Scott Kelby's 3rd annual World Wide Photo Walk. With over 1100 photo walks happening all over the world I joined in here in Halifax. Thanks to Terry Crowell for leading the walk. We started our walk on Lr. Water St. at the Farmer's Market and eventually made our way up Spring Garden Rd ending our walk at Tim Horton's. It was an amazing morning and I ran into a few friends I haven't seen in a while.

Cape Split
Yesterday I went to Cape Split for the first time. I've been doing a lot of hiking over the past month and a friend of mine told me I had to go. Cape Split is a little over an hour away from Halifax near Wolfville. The clouds were looking dark and I knew it was calling for rain but it was supposed to clear up. As soon as I stepped out of my car I heard thunder and it started raining. It's almost two hours of hiking just to get to the end of the trail. I took a chance and I was rewarded with these great shots!

Hartlen Point Golf Course
I have such a love-hate relationship with early mornings. I hate getting up early and everything associated with it. That is, until I get outside and realize I should do this every day! There's no one around, it's quiet, and seeing the sunrise is pretty amazing.
